How to Make the Bouncy Butterfly Craft
What you need:
- our printable bouncy butterfly craft templates
- coloring supplies (markers, crayons, or colored pencils)
- scissors
- glue stick
Step by Step Tutorial
Start by printing out our templates. We recommend printing on cardstock for the best results!

Now for the most fun part, let the kids go wild coloring their butterfly and flower in any colors they love!

Once all colored in, carefully cut out the flower, the butterfly, and the two paper strips.

Take your two strips and glue the ends together at a 90-degree angle to form an L shape. This is where the magic begins!

Now it is time to fold! Take the bottom strip and fold it up and over the other strip.

Keep going, folding one strip over the other, back and forth, all the way to the end, nice and neat!

Once you reach the end, glue the last two ends together.

Press firmly for a few seconds to make sure everything holds.

Look at that, you just created a beautiful accordion spring!

Add a little glue to the bottom of the accordion and press it right into the center of the flower. Hold it in place until it sticks!

Finally, glue your butterfly onto the accordion and press gently.

And that is it!

Your bouncy butterfly craft is completely done and ready to brighten up any room!

Aren’t they pretty?

We told you it was easy, and look how gorgeous they turned out!

Display them, gift them, or just watch them bounce all afternoon; either way, we call that a crafty win!
