Winter time is the best time to make some polar animal crafts. Today we are going to show you a fun winter craft idea that can be made with your young kids.
This makes a wonderful mommy and me / daddy and me activity – as you can use your hand prints for the wings and your child’s for the feet.
How to Make a Handprint Simple Paper Penguin Craft
What you need:
- paper in different colors
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- optional: googly eyes
Step by Step Tutorial
Start by cutting the penguin body shape (don’t know how? just make a figure 8 and cut around it – leaving a bit more space in the “neck area”) out of black paper.
Other colors work out well too.
Cut a smaller penguin shape out of white paper and cut a little V at the top.
Apply glue on the black shape…
…and stick the white shape on.
Next cut a triangle (or double triangle) out of orange paper and stick it on the penguins face.
Also stick two googly eyes or draw eyes using a marker.
Trace around your hands, cut out the outline.
Two black hands outlines for penguin wings and two orange for penguin feet.
Stick the handprints on the body.
All done, your Simple Paper Penguin Craft is complete.
