How to Make the Handprint Snowmen Craft Idea
What you need:
- scissors
- glue
- construction paper (brown and white)
- white, nontoxic paint
- orange paint
- paintbrush
- black marker
Step by Step Tutorial
Prepare a sheet of construction paper.
Glue a smaller brown construction paper onto the white background (this step is optional, but it does make a nice frame).
Paint four or five fingers and the upper part of the palm with white paint.
These will be the snowmen’s bodies!
Help your child press their hand firmly onto the brown background.
Let the paint dry a bit.
While the handprint dries, have your kids add white dots around the background to create a snowy scene. They can use a brush or a Q-tip. Fingerprints work out pretty well as well (pinky finger).
Draw eyes and buttons on each snowman’s body using a black marker.
Draw cute stick arms on the snowmen using the same black marker.
Now it’s time for the carrot noses!
Have kids use orange paint to add this adorable detail to each snowman. Alternatively, you can also use a piece of orange paper.
