Now if this one isn’t the sweetest sheep craft you’ve ever seen.
How to Make the Easy Fingerprint Sheep Art
What you need:
- scissors
- glue
- construction paper or mixed media paper (black and white)
- white paint (tempera or other water-based paints that are kid-safe)
- two googly eyes
Step by Step Tutorial
You can make this on many different backgrounds, but black really makes the white fingerprints pop.
Have kids dip their thumb into white paint.
Have your kids start making a circle of white thumbprints to create the fluffy outline of their sheep.
Fill the inside of their sheep’s body with more thumbprint circles.
Let it dry.
Have kids cut out an ellipse for the sheep’s head from black construction paper.
And two ear shapes, too.
Have them glue the ears onto the body first.
Then, glue the head over the ears.
It’s time for the eyes!
Have kids glue on the googly eyes to bring their sheep to life!
Help your little ones cut out two teardrop shapes for the sheep’s feet and glue them to the bottom of the body.
The easy fingerprint sheep art is now complete!
You can encourage them to think of other animals they can create using fingerprints.
Who knows what other creative adventures await?
