How to Make the Craft Stick Bunny Craft

What you need:

  • scissors
  • glue
  • craft stick
  • craft paint (light blue)
  • paintbrush
  • chenille sticks (light blue)
  • colored paper (light blue and light pink)
  • googly eyes
  • black marker

Step by Step Tutorial

Pick up a craft stick.

Step 1

Light blue is the color of the day! Have kids paint the craft stick and leave it somewhere flat to dry before moving on to the next step.

Step 2

Now for the fun part, take a light blue chenille stick and have them start coiling it around the middle section of the craft stick.

This is the bunny’s body taking shape!

Step 3

One chenille stick not quite enough? Grab a second one and keep coiling. The chunkier the body, the cuter the bunny!

Step 4

Every bunny needs its famous ears!

Cut two tall ear shapes from light blue paper and two smaller ones from light pink paper. Have kids layer the pink on top of the blue and glue them together for ears that look just like the real thing.

Step 5

Glue the ears to the back of the top.

Step 6

Glue on the googly eyes.

Step 7

A tiny nose, a little mouth, and a few wiggly whiskers drawn on with a marker, and this bunny’s face is absolutely complete!

Step 8

Done and ready to hop into Easter!

Step 9

These craft stick bunnies are so sweet that kids will want to make one for every person in the family!
