We’ve got another craft idea for all the bird lovers, a set of bird finger puppets. We created a set of birds – a chicken, a parrot, an owl, a penguin, a duck and a pigeon for you to use and have an awesome day.
Our favorite birds are parrots because some of them can talk and imitate human voices, plus they are super silly, and the other ones are owls because they can turn their heads in a 360 degrees angle and we find that really fun to watch.
What are your favorite birds and why?
We bet this project will move the boredom away.
How to Make Bird Finger Puppets
What you need:
- color pencils (if you use the black and white version)
Step by Step Instructions
Print and cut out our template provided.
If you use the black and white version, color the birds with color pencils.
Cut two tiny holes on the circles for your fingers.
Apply some glue on the backside of the bird shapes and glue them to the circles.
Glue the pigeon and the penguin, …
… the duck and the parrot, …
… and the chicken and the owl.
Put your index and middle finger through the holes and start walking.
All done here!
So much fun, huh?
See how the birds move as you walk with your fingers!
To make this project more interesting, you can additionally make bird noises such as `hoo hoo` for the owl, `cheep cheep` for the chicken, `coo-roo-too-coo` for the pigeon, `quack quack` for the duck, `prr-cra` for the parrot and ‘haaa-ha-haa-wiik’ for the penguin.
Spread the joy around your family as you make these noises.
You can show this craft to all of your friends so you can together play and scream these bird sounds.
Hope you like today’s project.
