Wild Berry Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

I’ve caught a habit I’m actually super proud off – I drink a smoothie almost every morning! It’s a great way to start the day, especially if you are a person that doesn’t really feel like eating first thing in the morning as this smoothie is a full meal! It’s also one of my favorite meals when I’m in a hurry as it’s quick to prepare and is a great to-go food.

What you’ll need for 1 serving:

  • half a cup wild berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries) – fresh are the best but frozen will be great too (especially as they usually have wild berry mix in the stores).
  • half of banana
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats (packed with fibres and protein – just what you need!) and you won’t even taste them inside your smoothie
  • greek or plain yoghurt / water or ice for a non-dairy alternative just enough to top up the glass!

Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. If you feel your smoothie is to thick (depending on your taste) add water to water it down a bit.
