Pinecone Hedgehog – Fun Nature Craft for Kids

So as you see these are super cute! We weren’t lucky in finding many pinecones so we actually got them from the dollar store!

What you need:

  • pinecones
  • playdough (brown, beige, orange and yellow all work well, you’ll need some black for the nose)
  • alternatively you can also use air dry clay (you can get it in many different colors or you can let the kids color it by themselves).
  • googly eyes (as they always make things more fun!)

Pinecone

These are insanely easy to make all you need is one ball of playdough for the head and 4 rolls for the legs. Push them on the pinecone and voila! If you’re working with air dry clay you’ll have a keepsake that will last for a long time!

Add a small black playdough ball for the nose and a pair of googly eyes.

  1. Love them. I think even I could help my grandkids make these. Do you think they would work as ornaments? Would ribbon work?.
